Ján Karaba
SAPI, director
Since 2019, he has been managing the Slovak Photovoltaic Industry and RES Association (SAPI), which is the largest professional interest association of renewable energy sources in Slovakia. The main mission of the association is to support the development of sustainable renewable energy. Ján has almost 15 years of experience in the preparation, construction and operation of energy projects focused on the use of renewable energy. He received a master's degree from the Vienna University of Technology in the field of renewable energy.
Boris Valach
SAPI, Project manager
Boris defended his doctoral dissertation in the field of European Studies and Policies at the Comenius University in Bratislava, which was preceded by studies of Public Policy and International Trade. In the renewable energy sector, he has been working as an analyst and project manager for the German consulting company eclareon GmbH since 2016. Boris participated in several research projects financed primarily by the European Commission and German ministries. His area of expertise also includes issues of labour market development related to green transformation, or the area of sustainable mobility. As of 2022, he cooperates with the SAPI, where he conducts a study focused on the wind energy deployment in Slovakia with an emphasis given on its barriers.

Radovan Ďurana

After graduating, Radovan worked in the credit risk section of a commercial bank. Since the founding of INESS in 2006, it has been engaged in the analysis of public finances and economic policy of the state. He is the author of several publications focused on taxation and the social system. Recently, he has been working on the issue of decarbonization and finding value for money in this area.
Miloslav Franěk

He studied inorganic chemistry at the Charles University in Prague, and started his career as an assistant professor at the Research Institute of Water Management. After November 1989, he moved into the commercial sphere and gained experience in the field of industrial gases for over 14 years. As a sales director, he worked in the field of industrial pumps. He managed domestic and foreign gas projects with a leading EPC supplier in the field of oil and natural gas. It provides business mentoring support for small and medium-sized enterprises. He participated in the activities of leading manufacturing and engineering companies in international energy projects. He worked in the Department of the Energy Manager at the City Hall of the Capital City of Prague, now he helps with the start-up of the activities of the Prague Community of Renewable Energy.
Dušana Dokupilová
SAV, Researcher
Works at the Prognostic Institute of the Center of Social and Psychological Sciences of the Slovak Academy of Sciences as a researcher. He mainly deals with quantitative research methods, mathematical modeling, preparation of forecasts and scenarios with a focus on energy, the environment and climate change. She participated in the preparation of the energy emission model of the Slovak Republic. In recent years, he has been intensively devoted to the issue of energy poverty at the national and international level.

As of September 2011 i am Responsible for corporate sales and energy services at Slovenske Elektrarne for the Slovak and Czech market.
Milan Zvara

Milan has experience in the field of sustainable development, environmental issues and climate change, government, energy policy and environmental awareness. His greatest asset is his many years of experience with different climate change policies at different levels and among different stakeholders. His experience with procedural and material support of intergovernmental processes in the political environment comes from the positions of expert, chairman, diplomat and director.
Ivan Trup

He is a graduate of the gymnasium in Senica with a focus on physics, mathematics and computer science. In 1994, he successfully completed his studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of STU in Bratislava, focusing on computer design and informatics. He worked in various positions in the company MicroStep – HDO s.r.o. With his team, he was involved in the design, development and programming of embedded devices, the design and development of devices for the automation of technologies in industry, buildings and the technology of photovoltaic power plants. Currently, he works as a business director of MicroStep Invest s.r.o. and is one of the executives. He cooperates with the AKU-BAT CZ association, where he also works in the technical working group.
Tomáš Chabada

He works as an analyst at Institute 2050 and a researcher at the Department of Environmental Studies at Masaryk University in Brno. For a long time, he has been devoted to researching the attitudes and behavior of society towards nature and the environment. He participated in several researches of public opinion in the field of climate change and the transformation to a low-carbon economy. He is the main author of the representative study Slovak Climate 2022.
Jozef Tomčík

Since completing his studies at FEI TUKE in 2003, he has been professionally engaged in areas related to the development of distribution systems (DS). In the company Východoslovenská distribučná, a. s., which is the operator of the regional distribution system (PDS), currently deals with topics related to the strategy of renewal and development of the distribution system, technical conditions of connection and operation of system users, mathematical modeling of the system. His remit also includes the updating of the PDS Technical Conditions document, the technical parts of the process of connecting resources to the DS, coordinating the operation of the VSD laboratories located on the grounds of TUKE. He is or has been a member of several working groups covered by CIRED, Eurelectric organizations, which deal with the mentioned areas.
Michal Hudec
Office for the Regulation of Network Industries, Director - Department of Market Organization and Regulatory Policy
Michal Hudec is the director of the department of market organization and regulatory policy at the Office for the Regulation of Network Industries. In the years 2016-2021, he was the chairman of the Association of Energy Suppliers and a partner of the small consulting firm Energy Analytics. In the past, he founded the first professional online journal about energy in Slovakia - energia.sk. He was its publisher from 2010 until 2017, when he sold his share in the company. In the period 2011 - 2013, he performed the function of NCP - the national contact point for research and development projects of the EU's 7th Framework Program (FP7) on the topic of "energy". In the years 2011-2016, he served on the supervisory board of the well-known technology company GA Drilling, which focuses on research and development of non-contact technologies for ultra-deep drilling. At the beginning of 2012, he graduated from the expert "International Visitor Leadership Program" in the USA on the topic "U.S. Foreign Policy and Energy Security". The program is covered by the U.S. State Department. Michal Hudec (1984) successfully completed his university studies, completed a study internship abroad and spoke at several renowned Slovak and international energy forums. He occasionally lectured at the university as a guest lecturer.
Martin Abel

I focus on the potential of agrivoltaics and the conditions for its operation in the Czech Republic. I am interested in the topic of functional use of the landscape, including with regard to the need for the construction of renewable energy sources (REPowerEU) and strengthening the adaptation capabilities of the landscape (Restore). In the past I have published about active energy consumption, community energy and hydrogen. My last research paper was devoted to the territorial footprint and energy balance of first-generation biofuels.

Jan Fousek is CEO of the Association for Energy Storage AKU-BAT CZ, which supports the development of energy storage, production of hydrogen, flexibility aggregation, building of infrastructure for e-mobility and overall modernization of the Czech energy and industry sector. Jan Fousek acts also as the Chairman of the Board in Solar Association and as the Member of the Board in Modern Energy Union (Svaz moderni energetiky). He has been active in the energy markets since 2007. In the years 2011-2016, he was co-owner and managing director of one of the largest European trading houses with emission allowances and electricity, Virtuse Energy.
Ján Lacko

Jan worked in various positions in the renewable energy industry since 2006. He was responsible for whole project life cycle of clean energy infrastructure projects as well as projects acquisitions at an international company for CEE region and Western Balkans. He was also engaged with key stakeholders as governments, local authorities, and financial institutions. From 2013 he is active as an executive committee member at Slovak Association of Photovoltaic and RES (SAPI).
Veronika Oravcová

Veronika Oravcová is Researcher at the Slovak Foreign Policy Association and Research Assistant at the Department of Political Science at Comenius University in Bratislava. Her research interests are centred on energy transition and energy security in Central and Eastern Europe, she is a co-editor of From Economic to Energy Transition. Three Decades of Transitions in Central and Eastern Europe (Palgrave: London, 2021), several chapters on energy transition and several papers on energy policy of the region.
Tamás Szőke

Daniel Moser

Daniel worked and studied in Europe and China before joining Huawei. Having spent two years in China he nowadays works on renewable Energy production and distribution for a sustainable future. Especially the grid-friendly usage of electrictiy from photovoltaics and to EV-Charging is a challenge he currently focuses on.
He is consulting customers to get the right solution for larger photovoltaic projects, battery storage systems and EV-charging solutions.
Zdeněk Čech
Zastúpenie Európskej komisie na Slovensku, Team leader - economic team
Academic profile: Zdeněk graduated at the Master's programme in Finance of the University of Economics in Prague, and gained additional M.A. Degree from the International Joint European Study Programme, including studies at the Staffordshire University (UK) and University of Antwerp (B). He also attended study programmes on public finances at the London School of Economics (UK) and at the IMF Institute (Washington D.C., USA). He holds a doctorate degree (Ph.D.) from the University of Economics in Prague (VŠE) and was lecturing at the Charles University, University of Economics in Prague and HUB Brussel. He published a number of articles, in particular on issues related on the economics of monetary integration. Work experience: Zdeněk started his career in 1997 as a monetary economist at the Czech National Bank. He joined the European Commission's Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs in 2003. He worked as a country desk for several Member States and subsequently on introduction of the euro. During the economic and financial crisis, he co-operated with the IMF on establishing financial safety nets in the South-Eastern Europe. In 2009, he acted as a Ministerial Deputy of the Minister of Finance of the Czech Republic at the G20 meetings, in the framework of the EU Presidency. In years 2013-2020, he worked as a senior economist and Deputy Head at the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic. Since September 2020, he holds a position of the Head of the Economic Analyses Section in the European Commission Representation in Slovakia, Bratislava. He is currently dealing with the Recovery and Resilience Plan implementation, as a staff member of the RECOVER task force within the European Commission. He specialises in issues related to green transition, energy sector and public finances.
Daniel Hrčka
Viessmann s.r.o., head of the photovoltaic systems department
Already during college at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of the Slovak Technical University, he decided that his mission would be renewable energy sources. He wants people to use them as much as possible, to be guided by unbiased information and for RES to bring them return and efficiency with well-used energy. Viessmann was therefore a clear choice for him when looking for a job, and Daniel now fulfills his mission in the position: head of the photovoltaic systems department and consultant for renewable energy sources. It prepares innovative and system solutions for RES and all significant projects in the field of photovoltaics. What he enjoys most about his work is assembling renewable resource systems so that they fit together like a perfect puzzle. Daniel and his team bring various innovations to the market, such as biosolar photovoltaic roofs, carports or the Viessmann Share energy community. He tries to share real market experience in Slovak conditions at various conferences and as a member of several working groups devoted to the topic of renewable resources.
Peter Dovhun
SEPS, Chairman and CEO
Ing. Peter Dovhun is a graduate of the Faculty of Foreign Trade of the University of Economics in Bratislava. He has been working in the position of Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Slovak Electricity Transmission System (SEPS) since February 2021. He brings more than 25 years of managerial and business experience in building and leading teams, managing change, development and sustainable growth of organizations to the company's executive management team. In 1996, he founded the successful PR agency Interel (today's Seesame), from 2000 to 2011 he worked in leading management positions in the multinational companies Motorola and Microsoft. He subsequently used his experience in the two-year restructuring project of the s&t group, the largest Central European system integrator. In the years 2013-2018, he led the expansion of the Slovak software company Gratex International in international markets. He lived and worked in Australia for a large part of this period. After returning to Slovakia, he participated in the establishment of the software R&D center of Tachyum, an innovative start-up developing the first universal, high-performance and energy-saving CPU chip. Before being appointed to the current position, he worked as a consultant and advisor to the leaders of private companies and public organizations, including the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic and organizations falling under it.
Ľubica Ragulová

Mgr. Ľubica Ragulová works in the consulting company EY, focusing on the topics of energy and sustainability. It deals with the development of the EU's internal electricity market, related legislative and regulatory issues, the development of RES and low-carbon investments, as well as issues of sustainability and decarbonization in the field of energy. Before joining EY, she worked for several years at Východoslovenská energetika Holding, a.s. as manager for strategic development and strategic projects and support of the German shareholder's board of directors. She graduated from the Comenius University, majoring in European Studies and International Relations with a focus on the energy security of the European Union in the area of the natural gas market. She completed study stays in Germany and the Czech Republic. He also deals with the topic of environmental protection and leads the voluntary international Impact Platform for Conscious Ecology at the GIFEW Institute.
Lukáš Choma
RIGHT POWER, Vice chairman of the Board
Lukáš graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics from the British university City University London, where he subsequently also obtained a master's degree in the field of environmental technology and economics. Already during his studies, he worked at RIGHT POWER, first in Slovakia as a trader for the division of energy distribution to end customers, later he moved to Ostrava, where he held the role of commodity energy trader on the stock exchange. Since 2019 he holds position of Vice-Chairman of the Board with main responsibilities in area of financing, development renewable energy projects, battery storage projects.
Jana Ambrošová

Since 2006, she has gone through several sectors in the energy sector, in the SLOVINTEGRA group she participated in the construction and managed the operation of the distribution network and the steam-gas power plant, in VSE and RWE she coordinated sales for the public sector and later she was the senior director for operations at SEPS, a.s. and head of European and strategic regulation at SE, a.s. Today, he represents the supply sector from the position of chairman of the Association of Energy Suppliers in Slovakia. She studied European studies at the Matej Bel University and International Relations and Diplomacy in Prague. He is an expert in the field of European energy transformation and can bring insight into the functioning of the European and Slovak energy industry.
Veronika Galeková
GENERM
Veronika was the co-founder and 10-year director of SAPI. From 2009 to the present, in addition to the parent company, he also works with his own company, GENERM s.r.o. focused on RES consulting. He studied geology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Comenius University in Bratislava. She was a strong engine of many legislative changes, initiatives, submissions and petitions in this area. RES, environmental protection and fair business conditions are her great passion.
Oldřich Sklenář
AMO, Research Fellow
Oldřich Sklenář is a Research Fellow of AMO, where he is a member of the Climate team. He is concerned with the energetics and greenhouse gas production. He graduated in Energy and Process Engineering from Brno University of Technology and Environmental Studies from Masaryk University. He also completed one semester at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He started his career in the energy sector as a design engineer. He then continued working for a number of companies and organizations, including NGOs, focusing on renewables and energy management. Currently, he works as a manager in the area of development and production of electric machinery. Besides, he is a Research Fellow of Facts About Climate.
Jakub Žák

Jakub studied law at the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice. He successfully completed his doctoral studies focused on the construction contract and FIDIC terms and conditions. Samuel Lazorík

After studying electrical engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of STU, he worked as a technical and project manager in the field of construction, modernization and operation of renewable energy projects and support services projects for the transmission system in Slovakia and abroad since 2014. Since 2020, he has been working at OKTE, a.s. currently for the positions of leading RES departments. Within the company, he deals with the settlement of RES/VÚKVET operational support and the issue of guarantees of the origin of electricity.

Guy has been working with WindEurope for over three years. He specialises in communication and supports the advocacy team in different policy areas. He is particularly interested in acceptance for wind energy and community engagement. During his education he specialised in European affairs and economics in particular environmental economics.
Jana Červenáková

He has been devoted to the topic of local governments for a long time. Since 2007, he has been working at the Communal Research Advisory Center n.o. She currently holds the position of executive vice president of the Union of Slovak Cities. In the past, she worked in high positions at the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic, participated in the implementation of large state projects. He has experience in the position of crisis manager in the private sector. It also deals with socially important projects in the health and social sectors.
Naomi Chevillard
SolarPower Europe, Head of Regulatory Affairs
Naomi is heading the Regulatory Affairs team of SolarPower Europe. With more than 6 years of experience in public affairs, she coordinates the development of positions of the association on energy regulation and coordinates the Advocacy Committee of SolarPower Europe. Prior to this, Naomi Chevillard has worked for in the Directorate for European Affairs for the French TSO RTE in its Brussels office. She also worked in Paris for the SGAE, the Prime Minister office in charge of preparing France’s position in EU negotiations, and for LEMS, an offshore wind industrial consortium gathering ENGIE, EDPR and Caisse des Dépôts. Naomi has a degree in International Affairs from Sciences Po Toulouse in France.

Petr Holub

I dedicated all my professional life to asserting sustainable energy solutions. 11 years I was a director of Chance for Buildings , a business alliance of Czech energy efficiency companies. Since 2010 I have built up this organisation into a respected player. Prior to that I served as an advisor to ministers and director of sustainable energy and transportation department at Ministry of Environment . I also worked in NGOs (mainly in Friends of the Earth CZ). As a consultant, I conducted tasks such as assessment of grant applications to EEA/Norway grants or assisted municipalities during their Covenant of Mayors journey. Outside of Czechia, I often go to Brussels and take part in setting up the EU legislation and economic instruments. I have co-founded Central and Eastern European Energy Efficiency Forum (C4E Forum) and thus enlarged my activities into the wider region. In Romania I assisted in creating Roenef , an energy efficiency business association. For the European Commission I advised on adjusting energy efficiency framework in Ukraine. I graduated physics (BSc) and Environmental Studies (MA) at Masaryk University in Brno. And now my new journey starts. I founded a new consultancy Buildings21. Why 21? Quality buildings for the 21st century. Founded in 2021. And being a nice number.
Tomáš Mužík
Nano Energies a. s., Country Manager Česko & Slovensko
Tomáš has managed our flexibility sales team since 2017. Tomáš’s expertise lies in combined heat-power plants. He has worked for Nano Energies since 2014, first as an analyst, and later as Chief Operating Officer and Country Manager for Czechia, and since 2022 for Slovakia too. He also worked at TechSoft Engineering, where he was involved in virtual prototyping for the optimization of steam & water turbines. Tomáš holds a PhD from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Czech Technical University.
Peter Kalman
CEO and co-founder of Greenlogy a.s.
Although he studied archeology at the Comenius University in Bratislava, he found a passion in the energy sector, in which he has been working in managerial positions for 13 years. He founded Greenlogy, where he is in charge of business and strategy. He is an enthusiast for renewable resources and new technologies in the field of energy. Greenlogy buys and delivers exclusively green electricity to its customers and was the first to bring to the Slovak market a functional solution for online (paperless) creation and signing of contracts for producers and customers.
Pavel Hrzina
Solar Association, Head of the working group for small sources and accumulation
He graduated from the Czech Technical University in Prague, FEL, majoring in Electrical Technology and Materials. He finished his studies in 2010 by defending his dissertation in the field of switched sources. Since 2010, he has been working as an assistant professor at CTU FEL. Previously, he dealt with the issue of switching power supplies from the point of view of their design technology. He is currently dealing with interdisciplinary issues of electrochemical sources and photovoltaics. He is the quality manager and metrologist of the accredited Photovoltaic System Diagnostics Laboratory (LDFS) of the Czech Technical University of Applied Sciences. In the University Center for Energy Efficient Buildings of the Czech Technical University (UCEEB), the issue of photovoltaic systems is oriented from a comprehensive point of view. He also works as the leader of the working group for small sources and accumulation within the Solar Association (SA).

Tomáš has been working in the energy industry since 2007. He currently works at Západoslovenská distribučná, a.s. as head of regulation and also coordinates the implementation of the EU PCI smart grid projects ACON and Danube InGrid.
Branislav Schnierer
Solargis s.r.o., Head of the consulting department
Branislav is the head of the consulting department of Solargis. After graduating from the Electronics department, Branislav gained experience in the field of construction and programming of electronic equipment, which he also applies in the solar energy industry since 2010. In addition to the usual preparation of analyzes and studies of photovoltaic power plants, he is also actively involved in the development of models and functionalities of a simulator for calculating electricity production, integrated into a digital platform that offers meteorological data, software and consulting in the field of solar energy. Since its founding in 2010, Solargis has developed global IT services based on innovative business models that support the entire lifecycle of solar power plants. Photovoltaic power plant developers, operators and financial institutions use Solargis services to plan, monitor and predict solar electricity production.
Marek Tomeš
ZSE Energia, a.s., Head of the marketing department
He graduated from the University of Economics in Bratislava. He has been working in the energy sector for 9 years. Within the ZSE Energia company, he is dedicated to product management, pricing, marketing and, above all, to the development of renewable resources and new technologies. It primarily focuses on connecting traditional commodity trade with new technological and market solutions. He believes in energy 4.0, which is the way to intelligent networks, cities, companies and households. Within ZSE Energia, he is the project manager of the ELSEA project – large-capacity battery storage in Central Europe and is preparing pilot projects focused on aggregation, flexibility and energy communities. Previously, he worked in banking and market research and analysis.
Vladimír Pavlovič
Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, Chief State Counsel
He works as a chief state Counsel at the Policy Department for Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions of the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic. Within the framework of the EU's climate architecture, it deals with the legislation of joint efforts, which includes sectors that are not included in the emission allowance trading system. Within the trading system, it deals with air transport and a new trading system for the building and road transport sector. It cooperates in the preparation of the National Inventory of Greenhouse Gas Emissions of the Slovak Republic and the submission of reports on policies and measures and projections of greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the regulation on the management of the Energy Union and measures in the field of climate. In the implementation of policies and measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, he specializes mainly in the agricultural sector. In the past, he was engaged in landscape ecology and research in this area.
